The highly anticipated merger of Voot and JioCinema is inching closer to completion, as evident from recent developments. Voot, a popular streaming platform, has begun diverting visitors to JioCinema's website, indicating a substantial advancement in the integration process.

Entering Voot's website will lead the visitor directly to the JioCinema homepage. Additionally, Voot Lite app customers are being automatically sent to JioCinema, confirming the impending merge. Furthermore, the Voot app has been withdrawn from both the Google Play Store and the App Store. JioCinema will get access to all Voot episodes and films.

JioCinema provided a code earlier this month that allowed Voot customers to switch their profiles to the JioCinema platform. Additionally, Voot Select subscribers have received unique discount coupons for JioCinema Premium subscription. This subscription, which launched in May, provides access to premium Hollywood material for Rs 999 per year.

Prior to integrating Voot, JioCinema struck significant deals with major entertainment studios such as Warner Bros. Discovery and NBCUniversal, giving subscribers access to popular HBO shows such as Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, Succession, as well as The Office and Parks and Recreation. JioCinema has also obtained IPL streaming rights for the next five years, solidifying its dominance in the streaming industry.

The exact date of the merger's completion is unknown, but with Voot Select subscribers already receiving discount codes to effortlessly move to JioCinema Premium, the union appears to be soon.
