Swarm intelligence (SI) is in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and is based on the collective behaviour of elements in decentralized and self-organized systems. SI has a great involvement in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and IoT-based systems in order to logically control their operations. As IoT-based systems are complex and consist of smart objects, so powerful decentralized algorithms supported by SI are used to resolve such complex problems. Intelligent algorithms of SI can solve the challenging issues of IoT systems due to their dynamic properties, device mobility, wireless communication, and information provision. SI algorithms are well established and applied in well-known aptitude-based problems where real-time actions are handled efficiently.

Swarm Learning combines a special kind of information exchange across different nodes of a network with methods from the toolbox of “machine learning”, a branch of artificial intelligence (AI).

In present scenario, healthcare system procreates a huge amount of heterogeneous data. So, AI healthcare system is an interactive or intelligent system that managed that data in a meaningful way. It gives various techniques to optimize the data. Basically, SI is a rising technique of AI that is based on the behavioural model of social insects. SI is a problem‐resolving technique that comes from the information processing category. SI theory depends on the multiplicity, dispensation, haphazardness, and untidiness. This technique solves problems, which relies on learning, creativity, and perception ability.

'Swarm learning' - artificial intelligence technology - to detect blood cancer, lung diseases and COVID-19 in data stored in a decentralized fashion. Swarm Learning has the potential to be a real game changer and could help make the wealth of experience in medicine more accessible worldwide. Not only research institutions but also hospitals, . Swarm Intelligence algorithms were utilized for the prediction of main illnesses such as cancer, tumours, cardiology, and heart diseases. The Swarm Intelligence approach encloses to apply in the fields of treatment and disease diagnosis.

Swarm Intelligence connects groups of intelligent organisms (brains) into complex real-time networks that biologists call swarms. A swarm is a “brain of brains” that has the capacity to function as a superintelligence, as it can significantly outperform the individual members that make up the system.

Artificial Swarm Intelligence, or simply Swarm AI, connects human groups into emergent systems moderated by AI algorithms modeled on biological swarms. An Artificial Swarm Intelligence of a human population is a “hive mind” and it can achieve super intelligent results and significantly outperform all the individual members who participate.

Swarm intelligence is the seemingly intelligent behaviour of decentralized, self-organizing systems. Think ant colonies, for example.

To circumvent these issues while still taking advantage of the potential of machine learning, the researchers develop Swarm Learning: a decentralized machine-learning approach that unites edge computing, block chain-based peer-to-peer networking, and coordination while maintaining confidentiality without the need for a central coordinator.

The network nodes — in this case, hospitals, research institutes, etc. — are introduced into the swarm via block chain contracts. Then, they receive the current model used by the rest of the swarm, which they can then train locally. The nodes drop their local models back into the swarm, where they are distributed all around to create an updated model.

There is no centralized command center, unlike "federated learning," in which the data is also kept locally. "Swarm learning occurs in a cooperative manner based on norms that have been agreed upon in advance by all partners. A blockchain is used to store this set of rules." This is a type of digital protocol that binds information exchange between partners, documents all activities, and makes it accessible to all parties. "The blockchain is Swarm Learning's backbone," Schultze stated. "Equal rights apply to all members of the swarm." There is no centralized control over what occurs or the outcomes. So, in a sense, there is no spider in charge of the data we collect.

Swarm intelligence and learning can be a huge boost to Healthcare Industry and other data driven divisions. This can be applied to many other Diseases and various innovations in the Healthcare Industry which includes patients and hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.  This is currently applied Alzheimer's , Covid-19 and many other diseases
