Regarding operational excellence, Spartan has its own Operational Excellence Apex Committee, supervised by Dr. Vikram and followed by Department Heads of Production, Design, Quality, Stores, Purchase and Administration. This committee takes various steps and initiatives to produce the best products in a productive and safe environment. About the Mastermind
Dr. Vikram has been highly instrumental in getting Spartan to the top in the Construction Equipment Manufacturing industry. Dr Vikram is a young and dynamic second-generation entrepreneur. He is an alumnus of Wharton University who pursued his MBA from SP Jain and graduated in Production Engineering from Father Agnel, a premier institute in Mumbai. Along with this, Dr Vikram proudly holds ‘Honorary Doctorate in Construction Industry’ bestowed upon him by Colombo University.
Dr. Vikram joined his father’s business in the year 2005 and transformed the engineering business into a Construction Equipment manufacturing business – Spartan Engineering Industries. He led the business by manufacturing Bar Cutting & Bar Bending machines, followed by bigger and heavier machines like Tower Cranes, Passenger & Material Hoists & Rope Suspended Platforms.
During this pandemic, Dr. Vikram and team at Spartan had a main goal of being with customers, understanding and empathizing with their challenges in order to face the crisis with a lot of grit and patience. Dr. Vikram articulates, “Our complete team was in touch with all the nationwide customers, and we saw that all the deliveries were met on time and service was provided at all sites wherever possible. Customers’ trust on us increased manifold during the pandemic and we believe we could do some record businesses over the time”.
