Veteran of the Indian IT services sector Peeyush Dubey has become the new chief marketing officer of Tech Mahindra. The executive made this announcement on the former Twitter microblogging site, X. This news follows Mohit Joshi, the company's CEO-designate, revealing a few days earlier that Tech Mahindra has appointed a new CMO as part of an ongoing internal restructure.

Dubey wrote on X, “I am thrilled to share that I have joined @tech_mahindra as CMO! Look forward to contributing to the next phase of growth of this iconic brand. Thank you @mohitjoshi74, Vivek Agarwal, and @Harsh_Soin for entrusting me with this extraordinary opportunity.”

Up until 2022, Dubey held the position of CMO at Mindtree and LTI before joining Tech Mahindra. Following that period, he joined TheMathCompany, a provider of AI analytics products. Prior to that, he was the worldwide marketing chief for Infosys for more than ten years. The executive has worked in the IT services sector for almost thirty years.

Dubey is an additional former coworker and Infosys executive who was employed by Tech Mahindra CEO-designate. Joshi has previously appointed Tech Mahindra's chief operating officer (COO), Atul Soneja. Soneja has previously worked for Infosys before.

Tech Mahindra's reorganisation

On October 26, the company's CEO-designate Joshi made an official announcement regarding the internal restructuring plan during the Q2 FY 2023–24 earnings call. As per the strategy, Tech Mahindra's former geography-focused organisation will give way to a vertical delivery focus for the IT services company.

Six targeted business units have been established by the CEO-designate. These include EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), APJ (Asia Pacific and Japan), India, Americas Diversified, Americas Communication, and Americas Technology Media.

This reorganisation will take effect on January 1. Numerous senior executives will now take new roles. In accordance with the reorganisation, Harshvendra Soin, the company's current chief marketing officer and CHRO, will relocate to Australia to oversee the combined Asia Pacific and Japan division.

During the results call, the CEO-designate said that the search for a new CHRO is underway within the company.
