With effect from April 19, HDFC Bank has named Kaizad Bharucha as the Deputy Managing Director and Bhavesh Zaveri as the Executive Director of the bank for a term of three years.
On November 24, 2022, the board of HDFC Bank recommended Bharucha and Zaveri to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for board appointments.
Kaizad Bharucha has worked in banking for almost 35 years as a career. Since 1995, he has been working for the bank. Bharucha was in charge of wholesale banking in his capacity as Executive Director, which included corporate banking, PSUs, capital and commodities markets, financial institutions, custody, mutual funds, global capabilities center, and financial sponsors coverage.
Kaizad Bharucha has worked in banking for almost 35 years as a career. Since 1995, he has been working for the bank. Bharucha was in charge of wholesale banking in his capacity as Executive Director, which included corporate banking, PSUs, capital and commodities markets, financial institutions, custody, mutual funds, global capabilities center, and financial sponsors coverage. He had previously handled business banking, healthcare finance, grinding, tractor financing, commercial vehicle financing, etc.
Bharucha has a wealth of knowledge in banking, company management, risk management, and credit management.
He held numerous positions before joining HDFC Bank at the SBI Commercial and International Bank.
Bhavesh Zaveri is in charge of business and operations all over the nation and was previously the Group Head of Operations, Cash Management & ATM Products. With a total of 36 years of expertise, Zaveri has led the bank's operations, cash management, and technology departments.
In 1998, Zaveri began working for HDFC Bank. In 2000, he was promoted to business head of wholesale banking operations, and in 2009, he was named group head of operations. In 2015, he was subsequently given the additional duties of the Information Technology role.
